Scotsman.com News reports that a Robert McDonald has built a replica Viking ship out of 15 million ice-cream sticks. The test drive (float?) was on the Markermeer in Lelystad on July 13, last Friday. They sailed across Ijsselmeer Lake in the Netherlands, and the next trip will be across the Atlantic, following a similar route to early explorers. The ice-cream sticks came from children all over the world, mailed in per McDonald's radio request.
Awesome.
